Red Kite Feeding Centre, Brecon Beacons

A trip to the Red Kite Feeding Centre in Brecon Beacons was rewarded by a good display by the stars of the visit. Well worth a visit and much improved now the fence surrounding the feeding area has been changed. I did get lost going to it, further from the A40 than you might think. Worth noting that the Café does not open every day at this time of year – potentially a life threatening disaster – No tea and cake!! What’s even worse is the café USED to be the pub.

Visits to Slimbridge WWT

A number of recent trips ‘up the tarmac jungle’ have left me short of office time but at least the bonus was to be able to visit Slimbridge WWT a few times.. How things have changed in the last few years. Many of the collection pens are much larger and far more interesting for us and the birds. It no longer seems like a Victorian Museum. Not quite sure what to say about the food !
