WWT Llanelli
Just a few days ago before yesterday’s storm and the conversion of my Conservatory into and indoor swimming pool it was ‘baby boom’ at the WWT Llanelli. Add to that a good number of Godwits, Knot a thieving LBBGull and the best Moorhen fight ever seen made for a great day out.

Whitesands Whimbrel
Wonderful at this time of year to see the passage of Whimbrel. The hall mark of their presence being the distinctive calls which can be heard (even by me!!) over such large distances. At daybreak this morning between 50 and 70 on Whitesands Beach nr St Davids. Also a Pheasant below High Tide mark picking in the shingle.

Llanerchaeron
A couple of visits to Llanerchaeron (Ceredigion) recently were rewarded by beautiful sunshine daffodils and the apple trees just coming into blossom in the ‘walled gardens’. There is now a bridge over the river from the Car park to woodland walks with bluebells, and, complete with many woodland birds. Two Buzzards were displaying high overhead a couple of days ago as well as Peregrine Falcon,Red Kite, and, Goshawk being present. Ample Car parking and most importantly excellent tea rooms.

Ramsey Island pembrokeshire
A few trips around Ramsey Island (Pembrokeshire) with Thousand Islands Wildlife Expeditions this week have been Brill. Not only are the cliff face colours fantastic at this time of year but add to that the return of breeding seabirds ~ Kittiwakes, Razorbills, Guillemots but also tumbling and ‘stooping’ displays by Ravens and Peregrine falcons, also Porpoise in Ramsey Sound, still some over wintering Purple sandpiper, plus more, and, brilliant weather WOW
