......................Newport is always rewarding- at first it seemed all Canada
geese, but a little patience and others emerge - they do not have to be mega
rarities to make watching and photographing enjoyable - today, shown Goosander, Bar headed goose, a Little Grebe and
a lone Curlew -others, seen Kingfisher and heard a Water rail +++

Today ...............
Today the sea in Ramsey Sound turned orange as the RNLI
turned out to support five of their colleagues who were going to swim across
the notorious waters from Ramsey Island
to the Lifeboat Station at St Justinian (St David's) to raise funds
towards the new RNLI boat house.
Initially there was clearly some discussion as to the best route !!
- eventually the plunge was taken - and
they all completed the crossing safely - congrats to you all and, thanks to
skipper Dave and Voyages of Discovery for laying on support boats and giving me
the chance of taking some memory photos for these guys - great day. Well done everyone

Bottle nosed dolphins off the Cardiganshire coast today
Despite some, changeable weather (!!), we did manage some
great sightings of BND's including a new born calf being closely guarded by Mum
and another adult as well as animals seen against a wonderful Rainbow - ok not
a holiday brochure photograph but it is genuine and not photo shopped from a
'tank'
