My annual one day visit to my old 'stomping' ground in North Lancs was a very very wet experience  with day time hunting barn owls and wild Swans Bewick's and Whooper - no hides here just a car, rain and large fields

Some photos of Red Kites from yesterday.  A great conservation success story and a great bird as well.

I wonder ....

I wonder if ever I will see this again off the Pembrokeshire coast - from 2011 - on a boat trip from Neyland - one of approx 12 Fin Whales in a pod foraging with Common Dolphins and Manx Shearwaters - the photo won't win any competitions but the experience surely would.
