For my Birdie friends on St Davids Airfield this afternoon a Stone Curlew.  A distant photo heavily cropped and quite a bit of afternoon heat haze as well.  A mega bird for Pembrokeshire

A baby Dipper in Fishguard - still very unsteady on its feet and clearly new to flying Mummy Dipper keeping a watchful eye whilst Daddy Dipper seemed to want to make more Babies.

 

I went to see Wally the Walrus a couple of days ago at Tenby. What a beast !!! He seems to be thriving and no doubt is helping the Cafes of Tenby a little as well. The pay and Display car parks must love him.

 

Today is National Dolphin day - in celebration I have added four photographs of different Dolphins I have taken, Three in Pembrokeshire seas and one off the coast of Ceredigion

 

With fewer visitor around I ventured out in search of Dippers. I found two, both were very camera shy but one came near to where I was sitting on the River Bank near Fishguard for a few moments.

 

Despite the cold wind quite a few people watched the last few fiery moments as the sun went to bed at Whitesands last night
