looking out of the window it seems nice to remember a warm sunny day with 'seaMor' and foraging Gannets off Newquay. The photos were taken with a telephoto lens from a long distance and the photos were heavily cropped

 

Looking back at some photos from August and this white Kite (Leacustic) was a special bird to see at Rhayader

Two Brent geese still present on the camp site at Newgale late yesterday afternoon taken from the Pub Car Park. Some of you will remember many many years ago two used to winter there every year (Possibly 25 years ago) Hopefully these will do the same.

 

It was reasonably clear out to sea this evening I am just back from Caerfai Car park where I took this pic of The Smalls Lighthouse and the ferry to Ireland. The Lighthouse is 21 miles away and so 1 would think the Ferry would be about 10 miles away depending upon which one it is and which side of Grassholm it was passing.

 

Everyone I met today looked extremely Brrrrrrrrrrrr.

A surprise today was a Red throated diver by the Flagpoles at Goodwick. Closest I have ever been to one

Another lovely evening to watch the sun setting - looking towards the South Bishops Lighthouse from Whitesands. I guess there may be other lovely places in the World but this suits me fine.

 

KESTREL HOVERING - Just for a bit of fun I put these 'still pictures' I took near St David's of a Kestrel hovering whilst looking for a meal. The wind was gusting up to 40 Knots and the birds head was steady as a rock unlike my photography. It certainly shows how much 'twisting and movement' there is in the wing joints.

Just one of the three ring Ouzels currently in the Quarry at Porth Gain - somewhat long distance unfortunately. Always nice to see but especially so when close to home. Also the first time I have managed to get a quick pic of one
