Whooper swans

Just some of the eight Whooper swans on St Davids Airfield this morning

Last night just before the sun went out of site below the horizon and behind some very low cloud conditions were right and the 'green flash' could be seen 'around the top' of the sun. Seen from Whitesands

 

A Goldcrest from a couple of days ago hunting flies in blackthorn by the Sewarage Works - elusive to say the least

 

Unusually a 'Glossy Ibis' is in Dale at the moment - in the field by the Car park

 

The sun went to bed by the North Bishops last night - as seen from Strumble head last night

 

A couple of days ago I headed North over the border into Ceredigion to find a lovely selection of birds and people including Siskins ( I love finches ) the iconic Red kite and close encounters with Goosanders and others as well. To end the day a glorious sunset and a Starling roost in Aberystwyth. Lovely day out and lovely to meet some nice people as well.

 

Lovely colours tonight as the sun faded away behind Ramsey Island this evening taken from Whitesands Beach. It won't be long and the sunset will 'move to the right' and set behind the South Bishops Lighthouse.
