A bit of a mixed bunch over the last week or so to end July - Lesser ringed plover juvenile at Llanelli - Young Chough begging for food at Mwnt - Juvenile Wheatear at Mwnt and 'The Whitethroat family at St Justinians

 

In my street i - For the first time we have Swallows breeding/nesting - fingers crossed they rear some babies. I mentioned the scarcity of Grasshoppers the other day and low and behold in my Porch today ............... I think a Common Field Grasshopper

 

A few days ago I was messing around with cameras and lenses at Fishguard. These photos are all long distance and heavily cropped. They are of a Black headed gull (The one with the brown head ) and of a Mediterranean gull (the one with the Black head)

 

For a change some Butterflies and Moths at Mwnt. Difficult in the wind as they kept low down in the undergrowth but it was lovely to be out with a blue sea and sky

 

For my Birdie people - a visit today to WWT Llanelli. No telephoto lens today I took them all with a Sony Bridge Camera - it does have a Zoom lens though !!

 

'Making a splash' in St Davids last week

 

St Davids RNLI held an 'Open Day' on Saturday the 1st July 23. Lots of people took advantage of the opportunity to have a guided tour of The Station and go onboard the All Weather Lifeboat. Later the boats were launched and displayed to a large crowd watching. Thanks to 'The Crew' for giving up their time for all of us watching.
