Herring gull - a very early early morning visitor to my garden just after day break

Seals 3 - A newly born pup - I missed the birth by minutes - showing the important instinct of mother and calf bonding by calling and waving to Mum who is doing the same in response. This early bonding and recognition has to be made from birth and during the first few days.

A Bull Seal showing typical aggression when on land - best to keep well away from those gnashers !! Atlantic Grey seals are very large - males up to 3m in length and 400Kg in weight - females 2m and 250 Kg PS - Photo taken from a distance with a tele photo lens - note also they can cover ground quicker than most of us !!

This really shows the difference between an adult dominant male and a female Atlantic grey seal. A Skipper who I have been on many brilliant boat trips with told me I always 'have' to say how much prettier the girl seals are than the boy seals.

Lovely day in the sun yesterday - watching my garden friends catching insects and grubs
