Monday 15th July turned out to be a fantastic day for one of our all day Marine Wildlife watching trips on board 'Celtic Wildcat'. A stop at Skomer for a cup of tea and still lots of Puffins, Guillemots and Razorbills. Next stop was the Gannets of Grassholm - a look at and a 'sniff' of the colony now with chics. Further off shore now to The Smalls Lighthouse and beyond , not every day we see the' Queen Mary 2' on a boat trip. Offshore we found lots of Pufflings, two encounters with Risso's dolphins, lots of Common dolphins, four Minke whales and much more. Thanks to those who joined us and to Nick our Skipper .

Thanks to Thousand Islands, Ramsey staff, volunteers a lovely day on was spent on Ramsey Island yesterday. By chance I found a very active pair of parent Pied Wagtails Feeding was intense and eventually the first one of the brood fledged leaving at least two behind. It was simply good luck that I caught the moment the chic had its first flight. I wonder if the 'remainers' fledged after we had left the Island. Incidentally I used a telephoto lens and the pics have been heavily cropped so as to keep a good distance away from the brood
