Golden plover

 

A few photos of parts of a huge flock of Golden -plover between St davits and Rhodiad this morning.  Eventually the flock split into smaller groups before landing or moving on.  Lovely to see so many and hear their 'piping calls for so far away from the flock

Cattle egret near St Davids today using the cattle water drinking trough for a wash and brush up.

 

Last week a visit to Llanelli where there was still some ice around. Outside the enclosures was some activity in the warm winter sun, a Mallard in a reflective mood, Mute swans flying around and causing chaos, Shelduck showing signs of pairing, 20 plus Snipe doing not a lot and in the enclosures Eider males puffing out their chests and 'cooing' to impress the ladies

 

Yet another stunner - who needs filters and Photoshop when we live in Pembrokeshire
