What another fantastic day for a visit to or, a boat trip
around Ramsey Island - I chose the boat trip, although perhaps I should have
done both - Lots of seals, some right alongside the boat, fantastic tide races
- cliffs - sea birds including Gulls, Auks and Fulmars (see pic) and, mega
views of a Peregrine falcon (see pic)
plus Raven, Chough, Wheatear etc etc On
a personal note lovely to see some long standing friends as well.

More from Galloway
Two photos from Galloway at the end of March - a Herring
gull bathing in the park at Galloway and part of an amazing 200 plus group of Greenland
white fronted geese near Stranraer - they were a long way off and taken with a
canon 500mm lens - I have seen small groups before at Slimbridge and in
Pembrokeshire + Ceredigion but never a group like this - I wish them' bon voyage'
for their flight over the mountains of Iceland to their breeding gounds
