Rutland 2 - I am relying on 'DG' to name the orchid - Unfortunately I only had an evening and 2/3 of the next day at Rutland water. It is a large but Internationally important area for Wildlife particularly for Osprey but there is much much more. I only 'scratched the surface' on my visit. Being so vast an area Wildlife can be some distance away from you making photography a bit of a challenge. However I did find breeding Waders, Warblers, Misc Water birds, Terns, Gulls, Birds of Prey, etc, also Muntjac, Kingfisher, Avocet and lovely old fashioned flowering meadows with many species of plants, butterflies and insects and, a lovely Pub to stay at with a very friendly brunette behind the Bar.
