Saturday 22 June saw us sailing from Neyland on board Celtic Wildcat. Many thanks to everyone on board, our Skipper Nick, not forgetting the Wildlife, for a lovely day with the added bonus of blue skies and seas. Seabirds were the order of the day In South Haven, Skomer, there were lots of Puffins, ledges full of Guillemots etc , and a Fulmar having a Puffin for breakfast, next to Grassholm (third largest gannet colony in the UK), As always the diving Gannets were spectacular. Onward to The Smalls Lighthouse, the Celtic deep ( where we saw Manx Shearwaters) , returning to stop in North haven at Skomer for Puffins and Tea ( not to literally !! ) before looking at Skokholm on our return journey. Seals were also spotted in a number of places. Thrown in were just a few Myths and Legends some of doubtful origin me thinks !!.
